Meet Dr. Ali D’Amario, an Educational Psychologist who is deeply committed to supporting young people’s mental health and well-being. With a First-Class degree in Psychology, a PGCE in Social Sciences, and a doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology, Ali’s passion for helping children thrive has guided her career every step of the way.
In her role as an Educational Psychologist, Ali focuses on creating inclusive and nurturing spaces for children. She has worked to establish Nurture Groups and develop Mental Health Response Training for schools, always aiming to ensure that every child feels valued and supported. She has also been involved in initiatives aimed at reducing emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), helping children to feel a sense of belonging.
Ali is also a published author, with works such as The Mental Health Response Handbook and Promoting Positive Body Image in Teenagers. These books reflect her commitment to empowering both educators and students in promoting mental well-being.
Beyond her professional work, Ali enjoys contributing to causes she cares about as a Well-being Consultant for The Bee-lieve Foundation and as a member of advisory boards focused on education and mental health.
When she’s not working, Ali enjoys spending time out in nature with her family, eating out with friends, and relieving stress through martial-arts inspired exercise classes!
